Bognor swimmers enjoyed another
round of successes at the second and final weekend of the
Sussex County Swimming Championships at Crawley's K2 Leisure
Complex. In the final results Bognor took third place in the
overall Club points with 30 individual titles to Crawley's
49.
Georgina Highfield, George
Smith, Jack Smith, Sophie Trotter, and Harriet Lambourne all
won County Titles. In the Girls Junior Event Bognor were
beaten by Crawley with just one point between them thanks to
10 individual wins by Sophie Trotter (age 16) and 12 by
Harriet Lambourne (age 12).
In the BAGCATS (British Age
Group Comparative performance Points system) there were top 8
places in their various age groups for Elanor Loveman (5th),
Katie Addison (4th), Georgina Highfield (3rd), Abby Rowe
(8th), George Smith (2nd), Jacob Loveman (5th), Jack Smith
winning the 11 year old and Harriet Lambourne who won the 12
year old BAGCATS. These swimmers will now be invited to join
the Sussex County Development Squad.
Bognor's Chief Coach Chris
Adams was delighted with the teams successes and hopes to take
a bigger team next year so that Bognor can challenge Crawley
for the overall top Club Trophy.
