Swimmers from Bognor Regis Swimming Club attended the
Godalming 7th B+ Grade Open Meet on Sunday 9th
July.
Competing
in the Boys 9yrs was Owen Scrivens won a Gold medal for his
50m freestyle, Bronze for 50m Backstroke and was placed 4th in
50m Breaststroke earning him a ribbon.
In
the Boys 11yrs Benjamin Scrivens achieved 3 PB’s and 3
Ribbons for 5th place in the 100m IM, 50m
Backstroke and 50m Freestyle.
In
the Boys 13yrs Christopher Goodhew won a Silver medal in the
50m Backstroke and 2 ribbons for 6th place in the
50m Fly and 50m Breaststroke.
For
the girls 11yrs age group Ellie Isted achieved 3 PB’s and in
the 100IM managed to knock 24 seconds off her submitted entry
time.
Holly
Sanford also 11yrs achieved a PB in 100IM and swam a gutsy
200Freestyle but just missed beating her entry time.
In
the girls 13yrs Rosie Sanford lead the way with a Gold Medal
for the 50m Breaststroke and a
ribbon for 6th place in the 100m
Breaststroke achieving PB’s
in every race entered.
Team
mate Bethan Scrivens 13yrs although missing out on medals had
a brilliant swim and achieved a massive 19 second PB in the
100IM.
In
the 16yrs Kirsty Williams managed to pick up Bronze for her
50mFreestyle and was placed 4th in 50m Fly &
50m Back winning two ribbons.
Bognor
Coaches had every reason to feel proud of their Swimmers.
Sue Eason and Ian Scrivens said “This was a very
exciting day for our swimmers with every swimmer achieving a
PB which is fantastic”.
All
the swimmers had an enjoyable day and looked forward to their
next open meet when they can hopefully improve upon their
performance and bring home more medals.
