BRSC
are proud to have become only the 3rd swimming club in Sussex
to achieve the Swim21 accreditation which is the Amateur
Swimming Association's (ASA) quality standard kite-mark for
swimming clubs. Just recently we have successfully gone
through the re-accreditation process.

How did we gain
accreditation?
The Committee have worked tirelessly over the past year to
compile a huge and comprehensive evidence portfolio which was
submitted to the National ASA Panel in August. Through
the Swim21 process, the Club as a whole has undergone an
overhaul of all it's policies, coaching practices and
operational procedures. Many of these policies can
be found on the Resources
page.
Elements
of the BRSC submission, including the Training Programmes and
Club Development Plan have been highlighted as outstanding
examples of good practice by the Swim21 panel.
We
hope that this success will help develop the Club's
membership. The Club has an excellent training
timetable which gives swimmers of all abilities the right
opportunities to develop their swimming skills for fitness and
competition. Swimming is a superb sport for young people
to keep fit and healthy.

Who are on the Swim21
Committee?
Lisa
Loveman, parent to Elanor (Top) and Jacob (Silver) is the
Club's Swim21 co-ordinator. Dominic Hirons (Parent Rep),
Kevin Adams (swimmer), Claire Foweraker (swimmer), Sue Newman
(Chair) are all part of the Swim21 Committee.
